Ideas for the hope chest
http://www.allfreecrafts.com/sewing/recycle-denim.shtml I love the idea of recycling old jeans. I plan to make a patchwork denim baby quilt when I finally get some time to craft.
I will photograph Mair's giant denim quilt that I made a few years ago, it covers the 'cheap-and-nasty-not-to-mention-uncomfortable-as-a-spare-bed'futon in her bedroom, and also the pillow shams made from old worn out jeans that I made because my children kept bringing un-pillow-cased spare pillows into the siting room. Crazy patchwork is the simplest patchwork of all because it is worked on a plain backing fabric which can become the reverse side of a coverlet (no wadding in the middle) if you wish.
