Hello

Hello and welcome to A Hope Chest for the Heart. Our mission is to encourage young Christian women to prayerfully wait for the spouse God has for them, maintaining a pure heart and modest demeanour all the while. The world tells young women to take control of their destinies, to go out and find a man, to entice him with provocative clothing and a seductive attitude. God's way stands in opposition to this. And sometimes, walking God's way is hard. Too many Christian young women, desperate to wed and become mothers, marry non Christians and pay the price of being unequally yoked. Sometimes God's Grace prevails and it works out, but oftentimes disaster prevails. We stand with wives and mothers in waiting, upholding you in prayer and encouraging you in your God given calling. We also want to help you to use this time fruitfully, preparing your heart and your hope chest. Expect awesome homemaking tips, crafts, preparation for motherhood and spiritual reflections to help keep you on track. We want this to be a collaborative blog and would really love ideas and posts from all you guys out there.

  1. Hi! I'll just introduce myself (ourselves!)...
I'm Anne; hubbie and I have been blessed with 4 children; we homeschool, and have been sooooo blessed by the 'discovery' of this way of life.
We're from Scotland, and began blogging a few months ago. You can 'meet' us there!
Glad to have found you, and we will - hopefully - contribute more in the days ahead
    Thanks for this,
    Love, Anne x

  2. Hi im Mary, i am a 23 year old wife and mother to be, attempting to live this period of my life with purity, honour and to glorify God. Whilst i await my future calling God has blessed me with a ministry in the local church with young girls and families. I am passionate about enabling young girls to reach their potenital in christ, to be released into freedom and achive their God given hearts desire. Recently i have felt an increasing passion for the area of purity; physcially, mentally and emotionally. I recently read the book 'Boy meets girl, say hello to courtship' by Josh Harris, it was am awesome and challenging read. As a result of this increasing passion i decided to lead my young women's Bible study group on a series on purity. We began our study tonight based on Rebecca St James' book 'Wait for me'. Although we have differeing opinions on this subject we had a very blessed discussion and were challenged by the heart of God. We are 6 young women aged between 16 and 26 seeking to honour God despite our past mistakes, insecurites and fears and i would ask that you pray for this group of women over the next 6/7 weeks as we undergo this Bible study and are challenged by God to live a life more honouring to him. Thank you.
